It seems out of character to me that so much premium work would be done only to leave the stock rear sight on this piece. The rear sight that came on my Ruger 44Spl NMFT had about 1/16" of loose slop between the sight base and frame. Unless the sight on this revolver is different than most I have had, it's pretty poor. Maybe the owner just never planned to shoot it. It is pretty, though.

The Ruger Forum boys will have a price put on that Jewel quick! Beautiful gun. Good illustration of someone's personal tastes.

I do believe that the work on this one would be just what I would like done to mine. I think its a AWESOME looking sixgun and it could very well (IF I owned it) Be, The ONE!?!
Just awesome!!!!

I asked the Ruger Forums Moderator to remove the post. They do not allow "fishing expeditions', no matter how nice the gun is. If you want to have a hidden reserve go to Gun Broker. Nice gun, though.

Lol. Nawww, too much for me. I'd love to have it and believe it's about the options I'd love to have on my Bisley flattop, but I can't swing that, especially at one batting. Sure is a Beauty though. BigBore44

It's pretty but not sure it's $2750 pretty. I'm not sure why he didn't post the details of the build in the ad instead of extolling the virtues of quality work by the masters. You think he might sell used cars in his spare time? In comparison, I was offered this Harton 44 Spl with custom barrel for $1250. Custom barrel marked "Single Action Service". Built in the days before the Ruger runs of 44 Specials

I agree, whats so secretive, does he not want us to find out that's not really what t costs? I see FT w/custom sight ok, BMBP, $30.00, grips $200-$300 Maybe? CCH & some blueing, I'm not seeing $2750. Not that the gun isn't nice but I'd never pay anywhere near that for it. Different strokes for different folks I guess. To each his own. Makes me laugh the way he went about it, like people were just going to throw theirs walltes open and fight over it

He finally posted his build. It's pretty much a dressed up stock gun. Factory cylinder and barrel. It's beautiful but it is not a full blown custom as his price would indicate on the secondary market.

I will say I really REALLY like the looks of it But, i couldn't pay the price for it. I could however maybe trade him a new Un-fired Bisley flattop so he could shoot &enjoy it without being scared to get any fingerprints on it. I'd do that for the feller, and I think we'd both make out good in the end He'd have a nice 44 sixgun to shoot, and I'd have a nice sixgun to shoot AND take to some BBQ's, once I talked to Doc for an appropriate shuck to go with it... It's a win Win! BigBore44

Price a set of Larry's grips.... Tim Ok what am I missing, I didn't see any SA grips on his site just auto's from $30-$100 bucks so I guess I overestimated that part. Still don't see $2750 or whatever, and his comments about if you knew what customer GS's charge for quality firearms.................If he said that to me I would have told him where to stick the premium firearm.
