It's been awhile since this one has seen the range. I took a couple of other .44 Specials but this is the only one that made it out of the bag...just too much fun shooting this one!

New gun day! π FA 83 454, first 5 shot group w/ JHPs. 34.1g H110 and 240g XTP-mags. Recoil, while manageable, was very impressive LOL. So much fun π

Dad, my best friend, and I took a βDraw clinicβ at out local training academy today. It taught us the basics of presenting your firearm in a defensive situation. About 4 hours behind a Glock 19. Good times.

Nice. What size bullet does that 350 Legend take? Is it a .357 or .355?
What do you have that is chambered in that round? Bolt action or AR?

This is funny stuff ππ. From my Lee dies, .357β cal. Also, warning label advising to check loaded round O.D. if using bullets over diameter .356β. I like to think of this cartridge as essentially a chopped down .223β w/ a 9mm bullet. The one nice caveat is that itβs affordable to reload using target bullets. My first gun was a very nice Savage. The bolt would stick shut every few shots and I had to beat the bolt open very forcefully. I returned it for a Ruger AR-556. It is an incredibly nice rifle and is quite accurate. I bought it for my daughter to use to deer hunt, maybe this fall. If not, youth season next year.

Nice. There is a local guy selling an Aero Precision with 280 rds of ammo that is tempting me. I like the round. Just think they could have done better using a .357 bullet.

Did my annual LEOSA Qualification with the four guns I CC...different sizes for different dress...
Two back to back 30 round course of fire...60 rounds per gun. Course of fire runs 3 to 25 yards...
Colt Commander .38 Super...57/60
Kahr P380....60/60
Kahr PM9....60/60
Glock 19....59/60
Going to be getting some new sights on the Colt...a set of TruGlo TFX will be ordered shortly. Have a set of TFOs on the Glock and they made a big difference in group size...

Shot the Krag
I'd been working on getting a good cast load with the 311-284 mould with mixed results.
Figured I'd load a handful of Sierra 180gr spitzers on 42gr H4350
Worked great.
I'll continue with the cast bullets, but it was nice to get instant goodness with those pretty Sierras.
