I test drove a buddy’s CZ Scorpion pistol and a Sig AR-10 in 308.
Nice guns.

My son and I shot a silhouette match in Anderson co. KY yesterday . My son had changed scopes on his 7-30 Waters and didn't do so hot, he shot 1/5th scale with his XP 221 and shot a 37 then a 34 in 22. I shot a 40 with my Striker .308, a 34 with my 22 and had gun problems with my XP 221 on 1/5 th scale and shot a 31. Beautiful day for a shooting match ,good people, good fun.

Put some new green laser grips on the 360. Put the red laser grips taken off the 360 on the M60. Hadn't shot in a week, so took the 360, 60 and 2 3/4" M66 and shot some plates. Great fun - the 360 did get a bit fiesty with 165gr SWCGC and 13.5gr A2400 but the new Crimpson Trace green laser grips moderate recoil better than expected. Got a new phone, so I thought this would be a good test.

Shot the S&W 69 again today. Trying out some of Matt’s Bullets .430 265 grain SWCGC. Trying to find a moderate load for general “woods carry”. The load testing went pretty good, 8 grains W231 shot well and definitely was a comfortable level of recoil.
Also ran a few of the Matt’s 250 grain plain base cast hollow points. Only about 15 of these.
The best thing of the day however was NO leading. I had been concerned after hearing some stories about the rifling in these barrels leading up bad, but it was no issue at all. Still liking this Model 69.

I blew off the work on the gun bench, and took my brand new used GP-100 4 inch for a spin on the shooting bench. Tried 358156 with 5.5 UNIQUE, and 14.0 2400. Tried 358429 with 5.5 UNIQUE, and 13.0 gr 2400. And I tried the 180 LBT FNGC with 14.0 H110. All bullets were PC. Kind of disappointing really. 5x5 groups all ran right around 1 to 1.25 inch at 25 yards, nice round clusters, no freaky stringing or mystery wanderers. The heavier 3 loads were turned on the 50 yard backer, and 5x5 ran 2-1/2 inch plus or minus a hair - again, nice round groups with no stringing. What is guy supposed to do??? No bugaboos to fix, no trials and tribulations. Tried and true bullets with tried and true loads. AND MY OLD EYES WERE REALLY SEEING THE SIGHTS ON THIS CRITTER. No drama - now i gotta go back to work. ( I do think I am gonna keep this one around though!)

Wanted to shoot my 45 since I haven’t shot it since last deer season. First shot hit center, so I thought, I’ll just shoot two more times and call it good. Of course I flinched on shot three, so I shot a 4th. I love this 45 Colt. 50 yards off a Bog Pod with PSR. That is a 3” square.

Found a really fun load today for my Ruger Bisley .32 H&R Magnum. Almost no recoil - should be great for a newbie. Twenty four rounds at 10 yards. Bullet: Missouri Bullet Company RNFP (.313/Cowboy Alloy/Hi-Tek) Powder: IMR Trail Boss 2.8 grs. Primer: CCI-500 Case: Federal
