.17 Rem will always be one of my favorite cartridges based upon nostalgia / good memories if nothing else. It really is cool, and with 4000fps out of a handgun it's super useful on the ranch for "point it and punch it" elimination of destructive varmints. Zoom!

A bit of 22 rifle off the deck. Redid my fold down bench top mounted to the rail on the deck. Windy today surprising how much a 5 mph wind drifts a 22 bullet at 43 yds.

I did some overall loaded length testing today with the 300WM. Apparently the Accubonds do better about .110 off the lands. There are 4 shots in the 2 hole group on the lower left. More refinement to come. I borrowed a fan from a fellow shooter. It certainly sped up the barrel cooling. Otherwise I would have been there all day in this 96 degree heat. And I popped off a few rounds with my fun, ridiculous yet useful thunderbuss. I am suprisingly accurate with it. I set up water bottles at 25 yards. They aren't safe.

Today was lots of Daisy Red Ryder bb gun and Beeman Hurricane pellet pistol shooting with the 5 year old grandson. Several pop cans donated their $.10 redemption value lives to the cause.

What did you SHOOT today?
An AR.
Never shot one before. Aside from a heavy trigger & the butt-stock going "sproing" with every shot, it was fun. Hard to see those tiny holes on the target though.

Today I played around with a Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt and loaded some rounds for my Single Seven with a load Fermin gave me. I was pretty pleased with the 327.

Picked up this Sig 210 Target yesterday. Got it out to the range this morning. Made sure the sights were on, then shot some steel. Really impressed with this gun. Grips are a bit big, some smaller Hogues inbound.

Shot my 300 WM again today. Definitely prefers these Accubonds .100 off the lands. Now back to tweaking powder. The first picture is my fan set up to cool the barrel off in this Carolina heat. The next was the best group that I got at 200. Not impressive but moving in the right direction. I also popped off some 500 Wyoming Express at 50 yards while the 300 was cooling off. I need more practice. But not terrible.

Just shot a baby skunk in the face with a 45 Colt. Slight overkill but it is what I had.

I have a TAC-14 Hardwood as well that I won in a raffle. It was always something I considered ridiculous and would have never spent my own money on. But now that I own one, it probably gets more range time than any other gun I own as it's just pure fun. I actually got it cerakoted since I figured why not, it didn't cost me anything anyway, lol. Anyway, got it out to the range today along with my 500 JRH BFR. Tested out 440 WFN GC Matt's bullets over H110 and Lil Gun. Didn't get any range pics, but obligatory pic of the TAC-14 from May:

The TAC-14 is no joke when you are staring at it from the front. I have been wanting the 11-87 semi auto version of that weapon for some time.
