What a wonderful story! That was REALLY nice of your group to do for you. It is a beautiful blade and sheath. How long is the cutting edge? The blade is 8" long.

Weathered 6" x 6" x 2' that will become the legs on the next rustic table order. Whittled down to manageable pieces.

That knife seems to me to be where the Puukko came from.

My first Bowie knife I made when I was 16...Long since forgotten! Just dug it out of a drawer a few days ago.

Tools & fixtures for working on Luger's...Most were handmade, except for the taps & dies of course. Back in the late 90's-early 2000's when Russian captured P-08's were hitting the surplus market at VERY affordable prices, myself & a good friend & co-worker at the Tool & Die shop we worked at would buy up all the best reworked Luger's we could find & rebuild/refinish them properly in our spare time. Many were quite rough, mismatched & just enough effort was put into them to make them reasonably serviceable for market. We'd work 50 hour work week's, hit gun show's on Saturday morning's to buy & sell Luger's...Sundays were always reserved for R&R, such as test firing! We had a lot of fun & got to know the P-08 inside & out like the back of our hand's, until the supply eventually dried up...Good times!
