I've got a pile of 454 ready for tomorrow's match! My inner Ricky Bobby wants to shoot the 38 but I just can't help myself.

Your performance looked awful damn good to me!!! I prefer to shoot revolver during the summer time and last IDPA shoot shot a Model 58 .41 Magnum and 3" 657 as a BUG.
Usually I shoot a .41 Magnum...but now you have me thinking about trying the 4" S&W 500 I have...hummmmm..

It's a lot of fun but those speedloaders were killing me! I really missed my moonclip gun during our last match, it was 45 degrees and quite windy which didn't help my pathetic attempt at using HKS loaders. I have a Redhawk that's cut for clips and should be good for nearly the same level of power.

Back in the day I had a friend that shot a 44 DE at our local IPSC matches. No light, loads in that beast. One stage we had was called "a deal gone bad". It started seated at a card table with a hand of cards in your strong hand, and your pistol on the table. The first target was right across the table. At the buzzer, he dropped the cards and grabbed his pistol and leaned across the table and fire his first round. That blew the tape off of the center of the target. His second shot caught the fringes of the target on fire with the muzzle blast. It was something to see. First a huge hole appeared in the target from all of the previous hits, then it catches on fire. I remember thinking - I've got to get one of those.
