Placed an order for these bullets in the middle of November. Received them a couple weeks after they were promised, but could live with that.
After inspection of my order, I found it short by a considerable amount. I called and was informed there was a scale malfunction. Understandable, it happens. Was promised the remaining bullets would be shipped within a couple days. No problem...
After two weeks of waiting, I called back and got the same promise... a couple days. Same at four weeks, six weeks and eight weeks.
I finally called with an admitted attitude and was assured they had been shipped. Two days later I got an email from the USPS stating a label had been created, but no package was mailed. It remained the same for eight days.
Yesterday I emailed Penn Bullets with an ultimatum of filing with the BBB. This morning I got an email with a tracking number. So I suppose my bullets are enroute.
I can say nothing but good about the bullets. But it truly irks me to deal with these issues from anyone in our industry.

That's sad to hear. Perhaps they're making the mistake of getting comfortable with their customer base and think they've "made it". No further need to bother with customer service. Kimber comes to mind in this scenario. It is very irritating; truly irking. I hope Penn Bullets gets their head screwed back on straight!

I had a bad experience with them years ago and swore them off. Relented and ordered some Thunderheads last year and that went through fine. Good bullets, but not worth the hassle with lots of other good vendors out there.

The Thunderhead Bullets are great. But, I don't want to go thru this again.
Ordered the similar wadcutter bullets from Matt's on Monday, had them on my porch Friday.
He will harden them for hunting.

It's minutes away (literally) and I've stopped dealing with him many moons ago...I'm not the least bit surprised. Always excuses... I've noticed a few posts and kept quiet regarding their spotty service. At times it was smooth as silk for bulk 45 acp slug orders...then MONTHS. Then you up the heat and he responds...same MO for a while.

I ordered the 45 cal ThunderHead's about a month ago. I never got any confirmation that it was charged or shipped. I found them on my doorstep about 3 weeks later. They did finally charge me I guess maybe the day they shipped...? Seems like a good bullet though but I haven't loaded or shot any yet... We'll see...

But, as above has stated service is random and a sometimes thing. It took me eleven weeks to get my order straight. That's if the correct thing is enroute. No communication, no confirmation, no reply to anything until I sent an ultimatum. So emails are ready, reply seems to be selected. After hearing "will ship tomorrow" for two months, I will throw rocks before I place another order.

well, I seem to be going through the same thing as we speak. just talked to them today and they stated, after being on the phone with them for 15 minutes, that they would send me an email with an update. this is after them calling me about a week and a half ago confirming payment and that they would promptly ship them out. still nothing, so that is why I called today. .41 295 ssk bullets-250 count

I've only placed one order through Penn and it went through, got the bullets in a few weeks. Only complaint is that I requested .476 on the order form and received .4745-.475 via micrometer.

There are so many bullet casters that give excellent service (Badman, Rim Rock, SNS come to mind) so why deal with one that gives bad service?

Dardas is another great bullet maker and one of the best customer service experiences I've had with a business owner. I've shot 10k or so of his and will continue to buy them.

Yes, one of the bullets was a special order, but that doesn't excuse a wait of over 7 months! Plus, I was charged within 2 weeks of placing the order. I emailed him 7-8 times during that period, and I got one excuse after another...it got to be rather humorous after awhile, trying to guess what the next excuse would be. No one has that bad of luck with family, animals, machines, and employees. I finally received the last of my order in Feb, 2014. At least the bullets looked good!
