Wow, what fools! Those idiots should not have done that. That lady will probably be very gun shy the rest of her life. Not to mention, I'm sure that muzzle has a nice ding in it from dropping it.

My wife's grandfather lived in Alaska for years before he passed away. He would tell grandma I'll be back in a week, he then would fly to a remote area in his float plane to hunt. He would hunt deer, caribou, moose, and much more. He never hunted bear but killed a few of them in his travels. He always hunted with a Winchester model 70 .458 Win Mag because he didn't want to be consumed by large predatory animals in search of a pic-n-ic basket. My father in law went to hunt caribou with him one year (he carried a .300 Win Mag) as they were going to the field my FIL asked grandpa "Hey Pops, why do you only carry 4 shells for that .458?" Grandpa replied, "Hell, that's all I can stand to shoot the S.O.B." I think of this story when I need to scratch the itch for a new rifle. I have owned and shot a couple of .45-70 Guide guns but nothing larger as the juice isn't worth the squeeze for me........however if I ever witness a Wooly Mammoth, T-Rex, Cave Bear aka Short Faced Bear, etc. I would re-evaluate my opinion of the larger cartridges and juice being worth the squeeze. I can appreciate launching a VW down range a little slower than the speed of light but I will leave you to it. 😂 BTW the rifle is beautiful and the CZ action is legendary, that is a very nice build.
