Outstanding!!! -- But not unexpected.
I'll get my loading room back tomorrow, and I'll see what these old eyes can do -- and if not, will mount a scope to see if it makes any difference.

Lee.... emphatically fine shooting from your rascal .500 Wyoming Express. With excellent photos, as usual. Have swung from snowflake to monsoon in the sodden Gulf South, with a bit of shooting more modest than yours to report soon. No alibis now, boys & girls, it is time to throw lead, David Bradshaw

Tip of the hat to the guys contributing to this 100 yard deal. In an effort to keep it going, here’s another entry: 5-shots, 100 yards bench rested .414 Martin, 5-shot Ruger Bullet - 290 gr Martin LFN Powder – 18.5 IMR 4227 Brass – Starline, .41 Magnum Primer - CCI 350 Velocity – 1,260 fps I did twenty 5-shot targets and this was the best of the day (just over 5”). Most of the time I can get 4 out of 5 on the plate. 20% of the time I land all 5 but the patterns aren’t always pretty. I also started using a rifle scope to track each round. David Bradshaw put me onto the notion of “shot memory” and it’s working. After hundreds of squeezes I’m beginning to know which hit and which don’t even before viewing the target. My hope is to consciously reinforce the good pulls and assess the bad. Misses tend to result from poor trigger control, my eyes get tired and strain, inconsistent grip tension, and varied bag position. I have a ways to go but so far so good. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

A combination of feeling a little under the weather after work and the 106° afternoon temps kept me in the house after work today. But...after perusing a few forums and sitting in the cool for awhile, I decided a little SA shooting might be therapeutic! Besides, by 6:00 p.m. the temp had dropped to a chilly 101°. I've been needing to cycle the cartridges out of the loops in my most carried rig, so I grabbed it and headed out to the bench. After easily whanging my 50 yd. target with three cylinder-fulls, I decided to launch the last six at a 6" target left by a friend who recently sighted in his rifle. Wish I'd have been a little more careful, but the group, fired seated with a backrest, revolver rested between my knees, wasn't too bad! Cholla
