Trust me. I know better than to lop that wobbly appendage off. All that magic would go up in smoke forever. Still, like a good wingman, this one will always be "just right".
And did I mention the good-natured harassment that goes on here? I admit that it doesn't take a lot to keep me entertained but you guys do an excellent job of keeping things relaxed, too. Much like the conversation the other day starting with Zeus shooting while standing on the top of his chronograph case and ending with Fermin "crushing" a Styrofoam cooler from the dollar store! I'm still laughing about that one!
You just have to forgive us as we are a bit particular as to WHO we let harass us...

Acusport Bisley in .41 Magnum - I bought this gun new in 2003 and from day one it was cursed. No matter the load it shot horribly. I spent a few years and thousands of rounds trying to improve its performance. I’ll spare you the full list of accuracy fixes. Eventually I pulled the barrel and installed some Pac Nor. Still not a top shooter, but it’s respectable enough at 50 yards. Last weekend I took it to 100 and routinely put 3 - 4 on the plate. Here’s one in which all 5 made contact. 5-shots, 100 yards bench rested .41 Magnum Bullet – 290 gr Martin LFN Powder - 18.0 grs IMR 4227 Brass - Starline Primer - CCI 350 Velocity – haven’t chronographed it yet. Gun alterations – 2Dogs front post, 1:16” Pac Nor barrel, 0.4105” throats, 2.5 lb trigger, roll-mark removed, Bowen target rear sight. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots

very nice!! I too, have had issues with my accusport bisley .41 mag, even after corrected throats and light firelapping. I still need to try the 100 yard challenge.

Nice "SHOOTIN". I haven't been able to shoot anything, I've been working 70 hours a week with only one day off in the month of August. I need to get the ball rolling and squeeze up some ammo, now that I have a little time.

Buffalo Seville (Seyfried clone) 5-shots, 100 yards bench rested .45 Colt Bullet – 340 gr LFN Powder - 23.0 grs H110 Brass - Starline Primer - CCI 350 Velocity – 1,330 Shooting conditions - cold and wet. Two flags were set to assess wind. The weather was pretty bad, so I didn't re-photograph the gun. Here's an old shot of it: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Man that's a good shooter! Is that one you built? Or was it made like that? Mighty fine sixgun! Joe, if you search Lee's threads, you will find a thread on the build.

Lee.... what we have here looks to be 1-inch vertical dispersion of your .45 bullets at 100 yards, with a horizontal spread of 5 or 6-inches. A puff of wind can cause the horizontal; so can sight picture. Fine shooting to be sure, evidence of even grip pressure and a clean squeeze. David Bradshaw

FA 83 (the one in my avatar) 5-shots, 100 yards standing offhand .454 Casull Bullet – 255 gr SWC Powder - 14.5 gr Longshot Brass - Starline Primer - Rem SR Velocity – Unknown, forgot to pack the chrono Not as good as Lee but I was doing well enough at 50 yards to give this a try today, my goal for 2017 is reliable hits offhand on a 12" plate at the same distance.

Alaskan454.... keep it up. If those are commercial cast 255 SWC in your .454 Casull, you be at the limit of accuracy @ 100 yards with those bullets. Bullet quality makes a huge difference with cast, even when the design is intrinsically well balanced.
As to the front sight on your M83 4-3/4” Casull, looks like the silhouette blade----with globe missing. Keep on shooting, David Bradshaw

Way to go! That is a fine five gun! And some mighty fine shooting to boot. Offhand hits at 100 yards or no simple tasks.

Mr. Bradshaw, I remember you cautioned the same about the bevel base 300gr I was previously using. These are Dardas bullets which have always done well at 25 and 50 yards in my guns, but the extra 50 yards is a good bit of air to travel through. What are your thoughts on the Hornady XTPs? I have standard and magnum 300gr bullets in my inventory right now. I might give those a try when I do this again.
The front sight was kindly gifted to me by a fellow forum member when I ordered the FA a few years ago. I agree it might be the same sight without the globe. It provides an excellent sight picture.
Joe - Thank you for the kind words, I see some of the tiny groups posted here and it keeps me motivated to work on my skills.
