I just finished reading Kenneth Anderson's "Nine Maneaters and One Rogue". It was an interesting view into subject.Anderson believes,as did Corbett, that a tiger or leopard becomes a maneater due to disability to hunt it's natural prey. Curiously Anderson's rifle was a Winchester 1895 in .405,he used this not only on tigers ,but on indian elephants. He was a great believer in the use of flashlights and carried a portable machan in his studebaker car. I haven't decided whether I'll attach a flashlight to my Marlin, but I would like a pith helmet.
