As soon as I shoot it!
In the meantime see Taffin Tests for load info.
It's about all you need to know IMHO.

Finally got out and shot it! Seemed to like the 1050fps loads with plain base bullets the best. Only shot 2 though.
Recoil with the Hogue grips really isn't bad at all, even with some stiff H110 loads.
I haven't shot much lately and am ashamed of the groups I put together but with several cylinders it proved to do 2" groups easily at 25yds if I discount the flyers.
I like it a lot!

My 5 shot .500 Linebaugh Super Redhawk GP-44 conversion built by Hamilton Bowen is finally home. This revolver has been in the works for years between collecting parts and waiting on the build. Started with a .44 magnum Super Redhawk Alaskan and a 6" .44 magnum Colt Anaconda barrel. The gun came out with a 4 3/16 inch barrel. I asked BCA to make it as long as they could and this is as much as they can get with a 6 inch re-bore. The gun is much lighter than I expected. I've had a .45 Colt 6 shot as well as a 5 shot .480 Ruger with Anaconda barrels built on the standard Redhawks in the past and I swear they were heavier. I don't know the weight of this gun or the others for that matter but this one seems lighter. Maybe it's the bigger holes or it's just balanced better. This is a "grail gun" for me so hopefully it will stay for a while. Can't wait to shoot it! Now I need to test the hidestretcher's skill, some custom grips and I'll be ready to go. Enjoy. How’d you get the rubber grips over/around the lanyard ring? I’ve got a Bowen Kodiak .44Mag Redhawk and can’t quite figure out Hogue Monogrips or Pachmyer Presentations with that dang lanyard ring in the way. THANK YOU. Perfect revolver btw…

They’re Hogues, they use a screw to Hold them on and that is replaced by the lanyard ring. The lanyard stud replaces the screw. Years ago I removed the nut Hogue uses and replaced it with the forend nut used for sling studs on rifles, it is a friction fit inside the yoke they use. Then use the appropriate sling stud to hold the grips in place. It’s an easy conversion and an easy way to get a lanyard stud, you just need to place a ring in the sling stud. Trapr

Trapr Bowen lanyard rings typically don’t screw in. They’re held in place with a pin so they can swivel. Of course as always, I could be wrong about this one….

The one I got from you is just a screw, for the grips.
