Welcome nice pieces, I'm not a big fan of engraving unless it's mild and complimenting to the gun, Your first one is like than very nice.

I would love to see the leather holster rig that went with these single action revolvers......
Thank you for sharing and the beautiful photos, as always,

There is a story behind the getting of the extras , and I posted the tale over in the Colt forum Lounge section in the USFA photos section at the top.

USFA Red River box and optional holster Box has a lift top lid and is a box within a box.. the rear inner box has a hinged lid. Has some cool photo labels bottom side of lids, and commemorative inscriptions on top lids.

This is the latest USFA to join the small herd. I thought it would be nice to have one in 44 Special and the bisley hammer is a personal requirement so it came here to live.

The Bisley style hammer is worth a small fortune now all by itself

Those bisley hammer guns are my favorite. Wish I had bought some more of those hammers back when.

This one came home from Mr. Fishpaw's house today. Since Tim has the vaquero with the Musk ox I decided to have Roy do this one in Musk ox.

Recently I was fortunate enough to talk my way back into a gun I used to own. You might remember when I first posted a few pictures of this one and noted a few unique features one of which is the bisley/birdshead hammer. While the hammer first caught my eye, it was the case coloring that really piqued my interest. This gun has not only the main frame colored but also the grip frame, the ejector rod housing and the cylinder base pin. Overall it is shall we say "different" Once it arrived back here in Oregon i thought I would line it up with the shop keeper adn the other SAA style gun with the musk ox grips for a little family photo. The poor double eagle didn't make the picture this time but it will once the fifth and final USFA gets home from its make over. The middle gun is the gaudy colored gun and it definitely will be getting an upgraded set of grips once I decide what wold look good with all the color.
