I love that! I think a 500 JRH will be my next project. That one is darn near perfect.

Beautiful gun. His grip finishing work, or whomever he has doing it, is simply stunning.

Beautiful gun Whit, looks like I may have to add a Huntington gun to the quest. What would you owners of Jack's guns say is his signature feature or thing he does that sets him apart form the other top guys? In ordering a quest gun I always try to give the person freedom to express their creativity in the way the would want to be remembered by but it often helps to know what their special talent, product or feature is to start with.
Thanks,
Robb

Exquisitely done. You were wise to keep it on the east coast Whit. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

In ordering a quest gun I always try to give the person freedom to express their creativity in the way the would want to be remembered by but it often helps to know what their special talent, product or feature is to start with. Thanks, Robb Thanks, Robb! Signature feature? Don't know if I could narrow down to one, He is a trained machinist and was a tool and die maker, so there really isn't a machining process that he cannot do well. Everything is done in-house. He counterbores his cylinders (always makes his own cylinders). He builds what you want, to the fit and finish you want. You won't pay for best grade unless you specify best grade. His grip work and reworking of grip frames is pretty much signature as far as I am concerned. His guns shoot well. Jack is an avid shooter and handgun hunter, so it is important to him that his guns delivery accuracy and reliability. He is very reasonably priced and fast. This gun took six months to build. He's a good guy and easy to work with and flexible.

Robb, Whit pretty much hit the nail on the head. I think the way he does his barrel crowns is a neat detail. Also, checkering on the ejector rod button is a really nice touch. The big thing for me is the turn around time, it doesn't take years. My .480 New Vaquero project for example, even with the re-bored S&W barrel (done in-house) will end up taking less than a year.
