RUKRH442----the "K" in that code stands for stainless: good to see another Redhawk stir the pot, spiced with genuine Redhawk sight. Traditional barrel arrangement may make this a bit more labor intensive than the Super Redhawk Alaskan. Handsome little beast. Forty-four magnum and stun grenade all in the same package. I think they look pretty good with unfluted cylinders, this ones chambered in 500L.

I've often said there wasn't a handgun that I would not try.....but I would have to re-think that before I shot that gun with those grips and full 500L loads. It does look good though and if down loaded I bet it's fun. Dan

The grip isn't the problem, its the bump on the top of the gripframe that bothers some, I like it better then a factory Bisley which I sometimes hit my middle finger on the trigger guard.

Yeah it was actually the shape of the DA grip I was referring to. My 44 and 45 "Hawks" are hard on my hands without some rubber on them. Can't imagine one in 500L. Always admired the pics of Ashley Emmerson's short barreled 500L but never really wanted to shoot one. I really like the looks of this one too with the stags and unfluted cylinder. Dan

I'd have a lot more trigger/carry time with the little Redhawk here at the Secret Hidden Bunker II. Been using the Ted Blocker Field Holster on a Blocker belt. I've settled on Buffalo Bore Anti-Personnel .44 Specials…easy to shoot…accurate…backed up with Black Hills 240-grain Magnums in a speedloader. Figure either'll thump the occasional coyote. As I mentioned on the podcast recently, my Sweetie and I were out walking Newt the Beagle when she decided we needed to go to the grocery store and other assorted errands in Ft. Collins. Since I had the Redhawk on, I pulled my shirttail, threw on my jacket on and did the errands, including visiting Whole Foods, the center of Hippiedom on earth, with the big blaster as my EDC. No one screamed and threw themselves on the ground in fear, etc. It was a good reminder to me that a lot of the "issues" with finding just the right-sized gun for EDC are mostly in our own heads.
