Man, what a sweet "Built for Adventure" DA 45!!! I wish I had the funds, but then I'd have to buy a whip, a fedora, a flap holster and a leather bomber jacket to go with it whenever I took it out of the house.

Man that's cool. How's the price in relation to cost of build+gun?
What kind of loads can one expect to shoot out of it? I imagine not "Ruger" loads but better than "Colt" seeing as it's an N frame?
I Love the look of the classic Smith's.

I can't stop thinking it would be a PERFECT candidate for a 45AR conversion.

Is it my imagination or is that cylinder a bit short for 45 Colt. Looks more like a 45 ACP cylinder to me.

The 38/44s were originally 38sp that could could be run much hotter than regular 38s in the days before the 357s came along. I am sure you will be limited to standard length 45 colt loads but then this gun shouldn't be run beyond standard 18k level loads anyways. I would love to have one but in 44sp would be my preference just cause

The charm of this gun is that S&W made next to none in 45 colt while the factory did produce a fair number in 44 S&W special as the 1926 model.
