I've got a Colt Python, which seems to be everyone's favorite gun to either love or hate. Mine was my father's, so it's a pretty special sixgun to me. But the grips- argh! The Grips!!
Is it me, or are they just to wide at the bottom? It seems that I have to be super-hyper-insanely aware of my grip or groups open dramatically. Even when I'm putting all my brain power into it, it just feels squirrelly. It's like choking a Coke bottle- that kicks.
Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm just gripping it wrong. Or maybe there are better stocks out there for the Python.
If you guys could help, I'd surely appreciate it.

The trumpet bell on the bottom of older Colt and Smith and Wesson target grips can truly stand some improvement. I have used Herrett"s "Detective" stocks on my pistols as a good replacement.

I really like the Hogue Grips on my Python (Tulipwood). I'd probably skip the checkering though, looks and feels great - until you shoot some magnums!
