Best collection of gun porn I've ever had the pleasure of viewing... anywhere... Wish I could handle them. All are unique, beautiful and one of a kind... and a reflection of the owner's personal taste. Simply incredible. It's nice to just sit and browse through all this awesome wood and metal, tools of a bygone era that are as effective today as ever for working, hunting or personal defense. It's nice to see these instead of black plastic. Thanks for sharing guys!

This was my first custom revolver. It was an old beater flat-top I found for $250 about 14yrs ago. I sent it to Jim Stroh for the following work: Rechamber to .44Spl Bevel cylinder Install pressed cylinder bushing Proprietary custom basepin Proprietary custom front sight Round barrel from PacNor blank 4 5/8" Action job Replace all screws Bead blast everything Hard chrome everything but the Micro rear sight and aluminum XR3 grip frame It was originally fitted with BluMagnum smooth stag but I found them not to be as comfortable as I'd hoped. Now wears antique paper micarta by CLC.

#2 was a group endeavor on the old Sixgunner.com forum. Lipsey's provided Bisley Vaqueros at cost and David Clements did some basic work. Most others got their grips through a group purchase I put together but I opted for BluMagnum ivory micarta. Action job Ream chamber mouths to .4525" Dovetail front sight regulated for 300gr over 21.5gr H110 Freewheel Belt Mt. #5 basepin Bead blasted rear sight groove Remove warning label A few years later I decided I couldn't live with the setup and sent it back to Clements for: Pre-war S&W style rear sight Custom front sight with patridge blade Bevel cylinder Shorten barrel behind the dovetail, resulting in 4½" Round butt grip frame Install Bowen lanyard ring

I think the Smith Sight on the vaquero is the best looking top strap configuration on a custom Ruger.

Squawberryman, Beautiful gun! Do you have an overhead picture of the top strap to show from the rear sight to the barrel? Love to see more shots! Tim
