Everyone posts pics of the rare or beautiful pieces they own, lets see some of the old dogs that you would never get rid of, but don't hesitate a second to throw behind the seat or in the bottom of the backpack. I'll open with my vent-rib Super Blackhawk.

This is actually my dad's 38-40, but it's become a favorite of mine too: Just passed 20,000 rounds this winter. We were thinking of refinishing it with CCH but have decided to leave it as is. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I'll open with my vent-rib Super Blackhawk. That's the first time I've seen that setup. Is that the handiwork of a custom smith?

That's the first time I've seen that setup. Is that the handiwork of a custom smith? That is the handiwork of some glue and a Poly-Choke vent-rib that they make specifically for 7.5" rugers. It was like that when I bought it. (I Swear!)

This is the first beater I got. OM 41 mag that needed some major help. Here is what it turned out like after hours of sanding and John Gallagher reblueing it. There is an OM 44 flat top I got from Sixshot setting in the safe that is in almost identical if not worse shape. It heads to David Clements when he is ready to become a #5 45 Colt.

Quite a transformation,.....the ugly duckling to the swan.
Looks great with the wood/brass combo.

This old Smith 28 is far more worn than the pic shows. This gun was some cops gun that was carried for years! The action is buttery smooth but the front sight is worn round on the right side! If this gun could tell stories...
