Here is a little something I won in a raffle this year. I upgraded the stocks to Nutmeg ivory.

What amazes me is that the owner didn't sell the business...just closed down and made ZIP guns... I have a few... .22/.22 Magnum Flat Top Target with TruIvory grips... One of only two .22 Magnums made with the old US Pt markings...have a factory letter for it.... ...sold this one... I had a Shooting Master on order in .41 Short Magnum but of course non were ever made. I did however find a .357 and it is now in the hands of David Clements being converted to .41 Special with a 5.5" barrel and Flat Top front blade... Bob

There's a few Turnbull/USFAs in the Cabelas gun library (search 'Turnbull') which are quite nice. A lot of WCF calibers with a few .38s... If they're still around once the budget permits I might just snag a .38 or 44-40 just because.
Now that this thread is four pages long, who will be the next USFA or has the concept of this level of quality gone the way of the Dodo?
In all honesty I'm entertaining the idea of a nickel Colt SAA as a safe queen project to commemorate some units I served with via scrimshaw and blued screws along with a blued frame SAA for shooting, but am a little apprehensive now. First and foremost, they aren't accepting any orders but I wonder if Colt QC will go back to early 3rd generation standards once they get caught up? I think it’s safe to say that USFA lit a fire under their arses in some capacity.

rjm52, you didn't happen to find that .357 Shooting Master in N.H. did you? ..yes, last spring at Riley's.... Quinn...Once the .41 comes back the .22 probably won't be going anywhere soon. I just put a bunch of my Ruger SAs on GunBroker and the last ones will go on next month. Will just have these two USFA SAs left and three FAs...one .22/97, a .41/97 and a .41/83...that will be it for SAs... Time to thin down the heard... Bob

I heard they were going to start accepting orders again in December. Wouldn't it be nice if they came back? This will require wait n see I fear. There are a number of them on Gun Broker now.

rjm52, you didn't happen to find that .357 Shooting Master in N.H. did you? ..yes, last spring at Riley's.... Bob I thought I recognized that front sight. Different than the others I've seen pictures of. They were nice enough to let me handle that one and the .45 Colt USFA with the Tru-Ivories, even though I couldn't purchase them due to living in Mass. Both were very nice. Would have taken either one of them home with me if I didn't live in Ma. That's a real fine one you got there. Loved the sight picture on the one you got!!
