One of the fine members here ,Kings6 reached out when I inquired about a 57 barrel for a build I had ongoing. He had one and sent it my way .Seems that I waited to long and I can’t use the barrel for this build, to far along, I’m offering a 6” blued s&w model 57 for sale. Same deal that kings6 gave me. $100.00 shipped. First I’ll take followed by pm gets it.

Well gents the bearcat is off to Mr. Alan Harton for the 32 h&r conversion! Got the ok to send it yesterday and it’s in the hands of ups which says it will be delivered by tomorrow in the am! It will be wearing a Fermin Garza front sight. Kept it to mirror my other bearcat in 22 , so factory length barrel and unfluted cylinder and action job.

Ditto on the really old and obscure brass. Stuff like 41 Special, 38-40 and 44-40 are not to be had. Unfortunately, I don't feel these will be even close to the top of their priority list. Backordered 41 special and 44-40... Huey if u need 38-40 I’d jump on it now, while it’s in stock

Dedicated spikes 22lr upper. If I can find a threaded barrel that I can cut back to 16” that too would work.

Not to mention, the inertia of a little added mass makes it easier to hold a heavier gun on target, or track a moving one. It also dampens tremors, whatever their source.. Some fellers think they're tough enough to hunt bears with a willow switch, yet blanch at the though of toting a few "extra" measly ounces of iron in the high-lonesome. It's really a twisted game of "one-downmanship", to see who can carry the least weight, to the point of obsession. Maybe such folk ahold simply leave the gun at home.. the country around where I live is liberally covered with projectiles of varying shapes, sizes, weights and densities, offering limitless reloading, should the need arise. STONES were good enough in David's day, right..? I mean, Bears, Lions, even the occasionalGiant fell prey to his lithic missiles.. Why? Because I wanted a aluminum version . Got plenty of all steel guns ,just felt like having this built. The difference in weight means nada to me. How’s that pony of yours doing?

Want me to see if I still have a model 57 barrel in the parts box? Oh my. I have the gun at Harton’s so let me give him a call tomorrow and see if he’s up to the task. I also sent him a new model blue bisley hammer to have him graft the spur to the old model hammer plus I just bought a old model standard grip frame bisley spur hammer from Ronnie! Hopefully I can get him or Fermin to ship the hammer right to Alan. Could save the new model from surgery! Lol so Monday I will be making some calls !

Having a 41 special built on a om 357 , 4 inch barrel. Aluminum grip frame erh and the recoil shield ,lscalloped. Should end up with a nice lightweight sa! Sounds like my Horvath L’il gun except no scalloped shield and I did have a model 57 barrel installed. Still the handiest little revolver in the safe. ILove that lil gun you have. I was looking for a 57 barrel ,but they’re like hens teeth. I am adding a little extra weight , a old army wide trigger! Lol
