I have installed several of these and have had to do some minor fitting on one or two. I ordered some spare rear sight assemblies on eBay for next to nothing just so I didn’t get myself into a tight spot but it was easy enough to hand fit. As consistent as the grip frame hole location is, the rear sight profile is definitely not. Some of my RW/Fermin rears fit like a glove, others rely on the set screw to keep them snug and stationary. That's a function of Ruger variation, not the RW/Fermin piece. Agree with having a few spare factory sights to replace those out of spec. They're not expensive. Having lived with these for a few months now, they're awesome. I'll pull up a sight picture and won't remember if it's a Bowen or RW until I check for the set screw.

Wilson case trimmer.
The extension on the left is the micrometer adjustment.
The red part with the clamp holds the trimmer base and holds the case holder down to the trimmer. I think it's aftermarket and not Wilson made.
They're still some of the best trimmers and that one's got all the bells and whistles.
Most popular case trimmers now index off the case shoulder, so OAL of the case is uniform to the degree the location of the case shoulder is uniform. These index off the case base, so the OAL is identical for all trimmed cases regardless of the shoulder location.
The only drawback is each cartridge family requires a different case insert, and new cases require a different case insert than fired cases which are dimensionally larger from firing and resizing. Not generally a problem, and other case trimmers also require case specific parts too.
Value with the base and micrometer might be $125-150. They're $200 new.

For a long time during the COVID shortage and after Buffalo Bore had a pop up disclaimer about availability every time you clicked a new link on their site.
If they were trying to frustrate customers the way customers frustrated them, mission accomplished.
I see it’s finally gone now. After that level of annoying the one click for being over 18 or 21 barely registers. It’s a useless law of course but whatever.

This looks like a good buy if it doesn't go too far above the opening price, not that I know if the buy it now is off the mark. Munden actions are light and fast but don't feel any tighter than a factory action. I only have one gun as light and fast AND with a more precise action, but that's a Bowen gun with their deluxe trigger or whatever he calls his action job upgrade. www.gunbroker.com/item/1050430074

I think in a Contender a 445 is a perfectly good 44 magnum with 445 as needed, and has the barrel length to make use of the round.
In a revolver, you're hauling around a lot of gun and without a longer barrel, tight BC gap, and a fast barrel (which is just luck of the draw) you might find yourself with an inconvenient 44 mag.
I take this as a testament to how good a round the 44 mag is and how of the 1.6 inch cases the 357 still stands out as arguably the best of the bunch.

I made a request and he declined. No problem. The only appropriate response is to go all lower case yourself. Bring balance to the board. One downside to all caps is spell check falters not knowing if you're using an acronym or writing a proper name or what. Otherwise appreciating this thread as I've got a gun that does this and now I've got some direction to work on a fix short of shipping it out.

Thankfully with moon clips you’ve got case tension and crimp options.

Nah I think those guys value factory original or vintage customs. They’re not the ideal audience for that gun.

Looked through his website and I know they are there somewhere but didn't see them...last I recall they were about $120... He built the 5-shot .41 Bisley in my Avitar...have spoken to him about converting the .41 GNR cylinder to .410 but just haven't had the reason to do it... 250s are running 1450 from the standard .41 case and just don't know if I need anything more than that... If you watch his forum he used to sale price his dies at $80-90 I think

Too bad the reloading dies aren't with it.... Reeder sells Hornady dies at a reasonable price. He supports his wildcats better than Federal did their 338. If that goes cheap enough it’d be worth sending back for a new 41 mag cylinder.
