Finally got a chance to put this mold to use. Here is the bullet as cast, coated and GC'd, recovered from the range and a 41 292 grain for reference. For those that may be interested I tried the following loads. All loads use Starline brass, CCI 350 primers and the Mihec which weighed 515 grains from my alloy sized in a Lee .510 push thru sizer. Barrel length was 4 3/4's. All average velocities(avg.) and standard deviations(SD's) are for 10 shots 8 grains Trailboss avg-655 fps SD-7 9 grains Trailboss avg-695 fps SD-8.5 9.5 grains Titegroup avg-824 fps SD-11.7 10.5 grains Unique avg-795 fps SD-7.9 11.5 grains Unique avg- 840 fps SD-8.9 24 grains 5744 avg-958 fps SD-46 23.5 grains IMR 4227 avg-916 SD-21.5 26.5 grains IMR 4227 avg-1075 SD-11.1 None of the loads showed any signs of pressure. The 26.5 grains of IMR 4227 had issues with bullet jump. I have Hornady dies and the expander cannot be removed. May look for an RCBS expander die where I can pull the expander and turn it down for more bullet tension. Accuracy of all loads was more than acceptable with the primary limitation being me.

Contender,
The 44 mag./44-40 was not a Buckeye gun. It was a distributor exclusive by I believe Jerry's Sporting Center. Buckeye only commissioned the 38-40/10mm and the 32 mag./32-20.

I have a 45 cal. 340 grain WLN-GC mold from LBT and love it. Very accurate and hits hard. Also just got a 245 WLN-GC for the 38-40. Great looking bullet but waiting for a custom Lee push thru sizer in order to put it to use.

I'm not sure if he was elected "despite" choke slamming the reporter or because he choked slammed the reporter. Lol! The reporter was from some liberal rag sheet and that just reaffirmed my decision to vote for Gianforte. Couldn't agree more about Montana, absolutely love it here.

Here, this will clear up any confusion... How about the Colt 11.48x35mmR ? I like that! Kind of rolls off your tongue and has a nice ring to it!

I have a LBT mold for a short nose (.335) 280 grain WFN-GC for use in my FA model 97 45 Colt. That same bullet works great in my Marlin 1894 16" carbine. I load it over 8 grains of Winchester 231 for an average velocity of 1055 fps. No feeding problems and accuracy is excellent.

I use an LBT 340 WLN-GC over 22.5 H-110 with a Winchester large pistol primer in a FA 83.

I wish the Freedom Arms cylinder was just a bit longer to handle the 360 case. Case capacity is a little to limited when using H110 or AA9 for loads in the M83.

The Ruger #1 is now chambered in this round as well. Stainless with a laminated stock.

I have long been a fan of the WFN and most of my molds are that design. However for top loads with a heavy for caliber bullet I prefer the WLN with a .5 nose provided the cylinder can handle the extra length. I find the wide metplat on the WFN and WLN's hits hard.
