Keep in mind that the holster didn't look like that when it started life. I hacked it up to make it work with the Blackhawk. When I save up some money, I'll most likely have Rob make a propper holster for it. ... but my little hack job/expiriment does work very well.

Believe it or not Rob, that holster works surprisingly well.

Thanks for the welcome and the compliments. The grips are by Pvt. Schultz on ebay, and the holster is actually a modified/hacked up by me Simply Rugged , Baker style "Tribute" in shark skin. Can't say enough good things about Rob and Simply Rugged holsters. I have a few others as well. (Sourdough , Silver Dollar, and Cuda) Kind of a long story behind this holster, but it started out life with a thumb break, and molded for a 1911. I trimmed off the thumb break, and soaked the holster in hot water. Then put the revolver in a plastic bag, and dried with some low heat. Surprisingly, it works quite well, and holds the grip nice and tight to the body. Believe it or not, it can be concealed under an untucked T-shirt, and is quite comfortable.

Finally took the plunge a few months back with a brandy new (only purchased one new handgun before, as I usually favor used) Blackhawk in .45 Colt. I do have a rimfire Colt Frontier Scout from the late 50's that I've had for a while, and love, but this BH is my first center fire Single Action Revolver. First and only Ruger as well. Took a couple of pics today, and decided I ought to post something, as I've been lurking around reading threads for a while here. Great forum! This one seems to shoot quite well right out of the box with 7gr of HP-38 under a 250gr rnfp bullet.
