I REALLY like that front sight. I'd love something like that for my 5 1/2" RH. Any idea where that came from?

Simply Rugged Sourdough IWB. Nothing conceals a large revolver better for me. I do have a lovely Barranti Summer Classic but the location of the belt loop at the fattest part of the gun prints like crazy. At some point I'd like to have a loop set up made for it to solve this issue.

My centerfire revolver education began with an old model Blackhawk .357 and it was as immune to full house ammo as a field stone is to poison ivy. David Bradshaw This line made my morning. Thank you Mr. Bradshaw.

After a nearly 3 year hiatus from shooting due to my local range closing, I finally got out and chucked some lead down range this morning with my 454 Alaskan. 9.7 gr Unique with a *deep seated* 255 SWC and small rifle primer..10 rounds all touching @ 7 yds double action. A nice, not obnoxious load for the indoor range.
Gun is all stock save for a slightly lighter trigger return spring and Pachmayr Compact grips
Feels GREAT to be back shooting again.

Haven't the short barreled Alaskans always had a 2 piece, barrel sleeved inside the frame set up? Haven't heard anyone concerned about those???

Yeah, I don't buy it either. The only way to use the GT HP Bullets in my 41 Mag FA97 is in Special Brass. The cylinder is cleaned thoroughly (easy job) after the shorter brass is used... Why not just deep seat the bullets in 41 mag brass? That's what I do with my 41 mag 97. Works fine and no extra work to scrub out the cylinder.

I know it makes sound counter intuitive but I've found with my 41 Mag Model 97, that I shoot it much better with a more relaxed grip. The tighter I hold the grip the worse my groups are. Relax, ease up on the grip and it all starts to come together.
