And for all the custom and oddball 45 Colts I own, my favorite is this Acusport Bisley: That said, I'm going to convert it to a 5-shot 45 Colt real soon. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I guess. One reason I'm doing it is I want a 6" barrel (I'll be using Shilen blank). Now short of new grips, we're not touching yours. That thing shot on a line right out of the box. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Here are three of mine. I've added a Bisley Vaquero to the stable since this picture was taken.

Do you think we can remove it without compromising strength? The grip frame is going to Huntington for "treatment."

Compromise strength??? We're only removing a thousandth or two. I did the same on my 41 Acusport. Here's what it looks like without the scribble: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Nah I aint that great a shot. That gun makes everyone look good. cylinder measures .452 on every chamber from the factory. It was made during the time that you never knew what you were going to get from Ruger. My brother had one a couple of years older than mine that had .454" chambers and a .450" barrel. You couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle with that thing. Mine still drives tacks after thousands and thousands of rounds. reflex264

Whit, please let me know what the turnaround and cost ends up for JRH to modify the frame and grips alone. Admit I like that modification and would love to try it out. I'm with on the scribble, I had Harton remove it on a couple of my 45's and like the cleaner look.

Micarta is faster as wood requires finishing which takes a little longer sometimes as it takes one coat at a time that requires drying between coats.
