Great looking slug. Are you looking to sell any? I've been using Meister's 115 grain in my 32 H&R (10.5 of H110). It has a similar nose profile to yours and is extremely accurate: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Does it drop at .312? I want to get a mould for my 32-20, but I think I'll need a fatter bullet (.314ish).

I pretty much stole Fowlers LBT mold. Its a very simular bullet that weighs 118 to 120 grains. Its very accurate and hits HARD!!

Lee, PM sent.
mtnbkr, the manufacturing tolerance was set to be .312 and 0.0 to plus .003. I'll measure some up and see what they are dropping out at with my alloy. Differing alloys will effect the diameter somewhat. Therefore I might ask, what 32-20 are you shooting. Revolver or Rifle. My 32-20 Ruger has throats of about .310+ to .311-.

2Dogs, Great minds think alike. ;D My prototype mold is several years old, but is a bit heavy for most's likes at 135 grain. I'll shoot some pictures ( now that I have the durn cable for my camera) and post a few. It was originally designed for the Number #3, 32 H&R Bearcat by John Linebaugh. 10.5 of H-110 and the 135 will make 1200 fps in a Bearcat. John's remarks upon proof shooting it was "It's about like stickin' your hand in a rat trap. There's nothing to get ahold of and it'll bite ya when it goes off."

Chris, the bullets are dropping out a .313 with alloy that is a bit heavy on linotype. Here is the bullet loaded in the 32 H&R case next to a 475 Linebaugh with it's own test bullet

It's an old S&W 32-20 M&P. It's quite worn. I haven't measured it yet, but I've read the old Smiths like fatter bullets, as large as .314. It leads like crazy with the .312 bullets I've used. Chris

Yup, I have shot some heavys out of my 32s. I believe the bigger 32s need a 130-140 grain bullet for top performance. Have a look over at the castboolits.gunloads.com website in the active group buy section for my 32 sixgun sledgehammer mold. Its been waiting a year, so if you decide you want one, nows the time to sign up. castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=113612

Friends all,
After a PM to Lee Martin, I'll direct ya'll to a new post in the lounge.
Fermin, I've seen that thread on cast bullets. Neat bullet and nice to have a hollow point if desired. I agree that the bigger 32's could use a bit more bullet. The 135 I have works pretty sweet in the 32-20. However with a bit of a re-design it will be along soon and weigh 130 grains with more nose length as LFNGC not just a FNGC. I had to decide which one to cut first and the nod went to the lighter bullet to start as I had a heavy already. Plus, my little 32 Single Six is a bit languishing in the twist department unless you really step on the 135's and get them moving. Not everyone is comfortable with some of my loads.....
Guhn has some of my mold designs. The bullet in the 475 is one we've shot quite a bit out of his Freedom. ( formerly mine) It's a unique take on things, the concept of which I borrowed from another friend, with permission and adapted it to the 475.

Well kaytod, reading between the lines, I think you may know what I know. The SS Ruger is tougher than most people think.....
