So after days of thinking about this, I ordered a BFR 7.5" 357 Magnum through my LGS this morning.
BFR Fans will know this translates into an 8.2" Barrel with 7.5" being forward of the frame.
While not a fine of a revolver as Freedom Arms, they represent the best value. Also, there's several features I really like about them.

Thanks Tim...
Just wanted everyone to see the massive amount of steel surrounding those chambers...

Thanks Tim... Just wanted everyone to see the massive amount of steel surrounding those chambers... And it's well treated 17-4. But the brass primer pockets won't take nearly what it can stand.

Agreed. I think the 360 Dan Wesson Brass will hold up much better.
Interestingly enough, I'm wondering if the cylinder would accept 1.5" brass. If so, trimmed 357 Maximum Brass will be the way to go. I'll figure it all out in time.

I'll figure it all out in time. .100 case capacity gain over the 360 may prove to be inconsequential but A cheap and easy experiment is rarely a bad thing. I’m anxious to see at what pressures the 360 can duplicate the 353 loads and how many loadings it will last at those pressures. A viable big game revolver with minimal recoil is certainly more appealing these days. I’m also doing a 41mag on the bfr which should be very capable, especially with the 265gr loping along at 1500.

I'll likely stick with 360 Dan Wesson Brass. It's a waiting game these days on many things, so I'll stock up once it becomes available.
I'm looking for 1500 fps with a 180 grn and think that'll come fairly easy. Specifically the Montana Bullets 180 grn Pug.
Might send this one back for a second 357 Magnum Cylinder and keep that option open...

I’m just hoping brass lives a long time at that level. I’m doing the 41 mag and a 45 colt on the bfr as well. All are starting out on 357 guns. I wonder if I should shoot them all some and try to pick out the most accurate 357 for the 360 project? Thoughts?

In Starline 360 brass, I have 9 loads of the 358429 bullet on a case full of H110 for 1580fps and haven't lost a case yet. Not even a split neck.

Hunter01, I've always thought the better gun you start with the better the finished product. That's simply my opinion, but your theory sounds logical.
Bigbore5, that's great information and just about what I'm looking for. Thanks for posting this.

Too many projects right now to consider building a custom single action. Maybe I will find a deal on a bfr 357 to rechamber.
