All these pics are about to push me over the edge. I've wanted a 5.5" BFR in 500 JRH for quite sometime now, and this thread is about to cost me some money...

These guns have the staying power for the 50 Caliber Revolvers.
There are several manufacturers of 500 S&W Brass which is easily trimmed and require no other modification to fit these guns. I believe reaming is required for very heavy bullets. But, I've loaded up to 400 grns with no issues.
Also, the 500 Special Brass from Starline work just fine.
Bullet selection is great due to the 500 S&W.

My BFR .500 JRH Gen 1, originally a custom order direct from Jim Tertin circa 2005 (?). It has changed considerably since then. 6" Krieger octagon barrel and current gen BFR grip frame (Bisley'ish) and full action job from JRH. Grips are from Jack as well with my wood. Trijicon SRO.
