Bought this 2nd Gen New Frontier .45 back in 2021, if I recall correctly. May have even been from someone here. Kind of a neat gun with an all business look to it. The triggerguard is mismatched by serial number and is from an early 2nd Gen Commemorative, based on the serial number on it. The cylinder is also mismatched and, if I recall correctly, was originally a .357 that was bored out to proper .45 Colt dimensions. Action is TIGHT. One of the tightest Colts I have. My intention was for it to be a working gun and it looks the part. I got the Dall BIGHORN grips from Sack Peterson several weeks ago, but only now have had the time to figure out what gun I want them on. I think this may be a winner. Edited to add - they are Bighorn, not Dall.   |

Those grips are fantastic.
They’re much different than the way most with the coloration from the bark turn out. The black and white really set them off too.

Good looking grips on a good looking gun.
That NF sight looks more at home on the shorter barrels I think. I'm a fan of muted/silver CCH and overall the package just works, especially that left side grip figure.

I have grown to really prefer Bighorn to Dall sheep grips, I like the dark streaks and color variations they have. That gun is stunning with the worn finish. It would make a dandy trail gun for the rest of your days.
