I recently was the high bidder on an old model single six that had been converted but was shown and advertised as having the original parts included with the gun. When t he gun arrived the FFL opened the box and found that the original internal parts were NOT included in the box. When I went to down to confirm I immediately called the dealer and explained the error and the internet sales person said return the gun for a refund which I did that very day. Several weeks later I received my refund check minus 32% of the original price! I called the shop and the same person basically told me that even though my ffl and I both inspected the box and packaging and confirmed that the parts were NOT included with the gun, he knows they were in the box thus the refund of nearly $100 less than I was owed.
Warning, never deal with Guns Galore out of Fenton Michigan!

This is precisely why my FFL doesn’t open any of my packages until I am present to inspect for correctness, completeness and damage. Notwithstanding, it probably wouldn’t matter in this case. Thanks for sharing.

A quick look at Google reviews tells the tale. Five stars for pricing and ease of an FFL transfer. One star if you need to talk to an actual human. As one reviewer put it, customer service is abysmal...
It seems as of late I've begun to vet many retailers via online reviews - yes, even Google reviews. Especially if I'm thinking of tossing good money at a gun listed at auction. I hate that life has come down to this, but people have seemingly forgotten how to be kind to others.

This is the world that has been created……
I’ve bought from them before and no problems, but that’s the hitch, no problems…

I admit it was not a ton of money and it is not the money that bugs me. It was the thinly veiled accusation that I took the parts out of the box and kept them them sent the gun back for a full refund. I may be thin skinned but I do not take an accusation against my personal character well.

I may be thin skinned but I do not take an accusation against my personal character well. I know my word is worth a hell of a lot more than $100 (an anyone who knows me know what a tightwad I am), the mere accusation that I would have pilfered the parts would have me screaming made and making multiple phone calls to anyone who would listen. That's not being thin skinned...

I will be sending a trackable letter to the President of their corporation explaining the way one of their customers was treated. I'd like to give the owners an opportunity to discuss their customer service policies with the employee before I go further.

Did you pay originally with a credit card? If so, dispute the original credit card charge...

I paid with a postal money order to help save the seller the 3-4%🥴. Normally I don’t mind making the trip down to town and paying the money order fee to try and save the seller a few bucks. That bit me this time .

Being retired now, and a long memory. I have no problem driving somewhere if I just happen to be within a few hours during any trip. An individual in Sweden 3 years ago denied me a refund for a 600.00 match fee when I injured my knee during a fire rescue. I was unable to bend my knee, so sitting in a plane for 12 hours just wasn’t going to happen. Because I notified them “too late” 3 weeks in advance I was denied a refund. Guess whose office I walked in to while i was in Sweden last month, just to explain how pissed I was at what I perceived as a poor decision.

After owning a service business for nearly 30 years I’ve had occasion to deal with situations like this in the past. One slum lord found my pump truck with large printed signs talking about his tactics parked in front of his downtown office one day with me picketing with signs I had made and I even invited the local paper and the local police to make sure everything was done properly and legally. He paid VERY quickly after that little theatrical event.
I will talk to the owner then decide if I want to put my business owners hat on and go from there.

Many years ago, I got a piece of some really, really chewy pasta at olive garden. Finally, I spit it out and then realized it was a used bandaid that must have came off one of the cooks' fingers.
When I complained, the waiter acted like I must have put it there myself. That angered me even more than finding the used bandaid in my food.
Haven't been back to olive garden since.
