I called up the Buda,TX store a few days ago. Guy said they bought 4 matching guns from a closing gun store. These guns were on gunbroker for a long time priced higher. They are engraved factory stock guns. No action work, etc. Bobby has various engravers who do work. I think his daughter is learning to use a laser machine engraver.

I guess the buyer is "regional" and places the guns, spreads the love. Even without Tyler's action work, etc., the revolver, engraving, and grips gotta be worth that, I'd think.

As mentioned TGW has a few engravers that they use for this kind of work. I have two guns engraved by Rocky Sharp that I got through TGW.
Rocky "signs" his work. He left his mark under the ejector rod housing on one of mine and discreetly on the cylinder frame, just forward of the trigger guard on the other.
To me it looks like a $750 engraving package. That would make these guns a good deal.

Seems like an action job and maybe sights would have been the first thing done.

It looks like the engraving Bobby had Rocky Sharp do on my ROA

Seems like an action job and maybe sights would have been the first thing done. Front sight would have been an easy fix too since it’s a stainless gun. I didn’t bother handling it as I didn’t want to get the sales guys commission hopes up, so I don’t know how the factory action felt.

Fermins sight blades are easy enough to install. I did 2 without any problem. But I still don't understand why this person commissioned a handful of these guns with engraving but not even the most basic action/accuracy work.

Probably easier to sell s $1500 engraved gun than a $2200-2500 engraved gun with action job, sight upgrades, etc… plus that allows the buyer to further customize as they see fit. Besides, I bet most buyers won’t even shoot them. They’ll just stick em in the safe to look at occasionally.
My Tyler Bearcat is a factory gun with CCH frame, as are the Ruger Turnbulls.

My Old Army .50 caliber will be used for deer and hogs regardless of the engraving

Maybe some of the buyers won't shoot 'em, but the one supposed to be here @ Cabela's Kansas City tomorrow won't be a safe queen in my gunroom. 😊
