I think it is understood the members of this forum are the exception to that statement for the most part. My Old Army .50 caliber will be used for deer and hogs regardless of the engraving Probably easier to sell s $1500 engraved gun than a $2200-2500 engraved gun with action job, sight upgrades, etc… plus that allows the buyer to further customize as they see fit. Besides, I bet most buyers won’t even shoot them. They’ll just stick em in the safe to look at occasionally. My Tyler Bearcat is a factory gun with CCH frame, as are the Ruger Turnbulls. Maybe some of the buyers won't shoot 'em, but the one supposed to be here @ Cabela's Kansas City tomorrow won't be a safe queen in my gunroom. 😊

It's never too late for an action job and new sights.
I'm guessing no one commissioned these, but rather they were offered on TGW website after the work was completed.

Looks like at least two of them are sold.

They were built for a shop in Buda TX. That shop closed its doors and cabelas bought them out. They also bought 8 Ruger no1 in 250 savage. All new unfired.

Heck, I'm tempted to snag up one of those No #1's too. 🤔😁 www.cabelas.com/l/used-guns#f-cartridge_or_gauge=.250%20Savage

Hey, man, yes, it came in. I picked up the Blackhawk Sunday from Kansas City Cabela's. I got a little discount off the list, 5% military. No complaints - it's a great gun, and the stock fitting is as good as I've seen. I have a number of elk, bone, stag, whatever stocks, and generally am not a huge fan (much prefer smooth wood). But these have nice swell in the middle, like S&W Cokes, perfect for big ol' mitts. 🙂 Great breaking trigger, though I haven't bothered to measure the pull. All in all, my only regret is I didn't buy 2. 😄
