Mr. Keith had many sixguns. I loved his DA stuff for sure. And then there was the No.5 which I never warmed up to. I know, throw tomatoes, I'm a good ducker. I've studied about all his stuff over the years & if I could have only one of his handguns it would be this one. I'll take it over 3 of the No.5 sixguns. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder & I "behold" this one above all.

You know you could make a reasonable copy of that gun for a fraction of what it takes to copy a lot of his other guns.
Anyone know where this one ended up at?

Two local guys went to the auction but they were mainly focused on the No. 5 & a couple long guns. I'm sure this sixgun could be copied on a Ruger or even a Pietta.

That’s the wrong sign for that sixgun.

That’s the wrong sign for that sixgun. Fermin is right of course, that's not a Flat top target nor is it the infamous three blade log range gun of Keith's that I think still resides in Idaho, just on the eastern side of the state...

I couldn't do away with the sign.

Not knowing what the three leaf rear sight looks like, I would like a link to what it does look like. However it does say "long range front sight". I bet that the rear face of the front sight has those gold bars on it. That I have seen on Keith's No. 5 SA revolver at the St. Louis NRA convention a good time ago.... with a good talk with his son Ted. That was enlightening.

Reminds me I need to put a SBH hammer in this Clements. Not a big fan of the Kieth barrel band here- looks like a space gun or 10-22 barrel transplant. I don't dislike barrel bands generally, just this one.

I really like the Number 5 but I have not seen all of his to say if its my favorite of all of his. Its my favorite of the ones I have seen though.

I'm a big fan of Keith's 4 5/8 colt barrel band gun. With the Bridgeport rig adapter. John Powers built me a sweet little ruger vaquero into a Croft m2 styled gun. Love the barrel bands. Below is my John Powers vaquero with lever base pin latch.

The hardest part about duplicating the 7.5” Colt is the King Short Action Cockeyed Hammer, though we have some pretty sharp guys that might be up to the task! Paging Ronnie Wells….
