After reading all the great posts and reviews on the Tisas 1911s, I decided to add one.
I'd picked this one up in my LGS on a whim one day. I've never had a pistol point so naturally. If my eyes went there, the sights went there. Still, I passed.
But, the gun kept haunting me. Then Lee, Stan and others heaped on the praise. I couldn't stand the pressure, so I texted my LGS Manager to hoard the gun for me.
Today was the day to pick it up and I'm very impressed with the gun.
It tipped my scale at 28.5 oz. Novak Sights, ambi safety and all sorts of nice features for a sub $600 gun.
I love the banner free slide. It just looks all business with no billboard on the side.
Decided not to even accuracy test this one. I got it for woods carry and home defense.
At 20 yards I can keep them in a 5" Diamond Target. That's all I need to know.
Feed and function have been flawless. Came with Two 8-Rd Mags and I doubt I'll ever need more than that.
Hopefully get some pictures posted later...

I handled a couple Tisas guns this week for the first time and was way beyond impressed. One was a 10mm last night that I was plain impressed by regardless of the price, astounded when I found out what it retailed for.
I was looking through their website last night and this is the very gun I was thinking about if I was to go an and get one. Very tempted by this light weight bobtail for sure.

I bought a Tisas Raider in .45 about two months ago. It has been a stellar performer. Zero malfunctions and shoots tight little groups.

I like the look of the Yukon carry, but have never handled a bobtail frame before.

After owning this gun for a week plus, I'm 100% pleased with it. It has yet to malfunction in any way.
It's one of the few guns that needed no upgrades. Only change I made to the gun is replacing the grip screws to dress it up a bit.

I bought the steel frame version a few weeks ago. For $550 it's great. I had problems with the factory mags but Wilson combat mags have it going great. It has loosened up quite a bit after 500 rounds. I think it's the cerakote adding dimension that Tisas gets away making people believe the slide to frame fit is better than what it is. But it's accurate. They fit the barrel well. 5 shots from 10 yds. S&b 230 fmj. It likes that ammo. I have not used any handloads yet.
