The thing about 40+ caliber is I always go back to them. my 41's, and 44 Magnums have come and gone, but 45 Colt always has a few spaces occupied in my range bag. Recently I got a Bisley SBH in .480 and even though I've had some growing pains with it (junk factory crimp die problems corrected with a Hornady die) I REALLY like it and I'm planning a hog hunt with it this fall. I've said often to friends no more .44's or .41's but recently my son shocked me saying he'd like to go along with me this fall and a few days ago I stumbled onto a Bisley SBH hunter in .44 and thought, why not? Yeah, I can use a .45 Colt for hogs but I needed an excuse to get this one. Luckily I never trade or sell dies, I have plenty of powder, primers, and bullet molds now all I need is brass and hopefully at the gun show in 2 weeks I'll find that.

My 44’s rarely get used, 45’s and 41’s get plenty of use and then jump to 50 and 51. In the field I cannot remember when I used a 357 that wasn’t my 357max. It and the 41’s make great medium game guns and general purpose guns for Texas. 44’s don’t do it for me any more, too much similarity to 41’s.

I love my 500's, but I shoot 357 magnum the most.

I don't know how much longer I'll be able to handle the boomers but thinking forward I need to think about getting a .22.

I've got one 22. A Taurus tx22 that's fun with the suppressor and good for pests in the yard.
But I find myself browsing the Single Sixes and M17's alot lately. Also kinda like the SP101 4.2", but haven't seen any lately.

My favorite guns to shoot start with my old model Bearcat and everything in between up to my 44 magnums and 480. Most often loaded and or shot are 22 rimfires, 38/357, 41 Magnum, 44 Special and last but not least 45 Colt.
I love em all.

With my brand new Evil Roy (Uberti SAA, Tuned) in .357 Magnum, I am discovering the joy of the 357 Magnum !

I'd like to add a 44mag m83 to my collection. It'll happen someday. With FA backlog so long these days I might just order one and start putting money in a jar

With FA backlog so long these days I might just order one and start putting money in a jar I bought a Model 83 in 44 Magnum 3 or 4 years ago and it was a good decision. The ammo is more affordable but more important with less recoil it's easier to shoot well. It's the most accurate 44 I own.

I have all the normal stuff 357/41/44 and recently aquired and 45/454. If I had to choose just one I would go with the 44 Just my .02

Don't have a 41 or 44 right now. My 4somethings are 10mm, 45, or 475. Buy the 500L is what I don't want to do without.
355's at 1000 are like a 45. Same bullet at 1450 is like a 454. A 525 at 1100 is not going to stop in anything I will be hunting any time soon. Same 525 with large hp pin, cast soft, at 800 fps is a big acp that will stop Goober no matter how much meth he smokes.
