He will be missed, he changed a lot of things in the hand gun world when he came onto the scene, that's for sure.

Sad news. Rest in peace and rise in glory. What a legacy to leave behind. You all are blessed who were able to work with him. I just hope to procure one of his guns someday.

There is a disturbance in the force. Sigh. Think of the distance he can shoot now !

Horrible news indeed. John contributed so much to the world of handgunning. No doubt his legacy will live on for generations to come. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Very bad news. As Lee said, his legacy will live on.
475 Linebaugh, 500 Linebaugh and 5-Shot 45 Colt are all Legendary. He also did much to advance one of my favorites, the 38-40 WCF.
Dave Clements called this morning and I gave him the bad news. He told me the 45 Colt and 500 Linebaugh were the top two requests in his 35 Year Career. That says a lot...

Got to meet him at one of his seminars years ago. Very kind and approachable. Lucky to own just one of his revolvers and I'll treasure it forever. Thanks for your advancement of the bog bore revolver. RIP.
