Double action 45 Colts... what's good ? what's practical ?

Had a 45 Colt/ 45 Acp Redhawk that I kick myself for selling!
My vote would be a 4 inch Redhawk or Smith and Wesson 25.

I recently came into a new production S&W 25 “Classic”. It shoots my PC hand loaded SWC as well as I can. My only complaint is that the walnut grips/stocks are very thin at the top and that seems to focus the recoil energy into a smaller part of my hand. Otherwise, no complaints.

I’m toying with the idea of having the cylinder machined for 45 ACP moon clips. We’ll see.

Overall, I would be fine carrying it in the woods or killing beer cans.
