So,......what is it? Make, model, caliber, if it's a 1911 do you like double or single stack,....etc.
P.S. Anyone shooting a P99?

Of all my collection of semi autos (and I do leatherwork as a side job so I have several for blocking holsters off of) has t obe the first one I ever owned, a Llama (yes you read that right, the under 200 single stack 1911 guys) Max-1 45ACP thta is now loose as a goose and probably unsafe to fire but has never given me a problem, other than groups now look like a shotgun pattern.

My favorite semi would be my Colt Commander. It was my first and given to me by my brother. The one I grab first going out the door is a slightly modified Glock 23, light, handy, the perfect size. The one always with me in my truck is a CZ 75, I think it may be the least appreciated semi, relatively inexpensive, strong, always works with no break in needed.

1911 of course.... Nothing but 45 ACP..... Colt, Springfield, or Kimber.... 4 to 5 inch barrels. Isn't anything other than a single sack just a game gun? Now I have seen some hi cap STI/SVI based .355 bore guns that were interesting game guns...... ;D

Lee, had a 4506 gun was nice except for the trigger very heavy. I guess my fav is my 92F with the Beretta 85 close behind.

That's easy for me. Aside from the box full of MK II Rugers I have a penchant for, it's a Kimber Pro CDP in .45 ACP. Commander size, duo-tone all 'melted'. It is small(ish) with a light alloy frame, glow sites and is surprisingly accurate. It is a joy to shoot and because of the beautiful front and backstrap checkering it stays glued to the hand with no abrading. I have over the last 6 or 7 years had exactly 2 malfunctions with it.... very close to the same time. Both because I fed it a primed round with no powder.

OK, prepare yourselves to get a little weird: CZ 83 in 32 ACP. You heard me. Justification:
15+1 rounds (when you're used to 5 or 6 shot strings from revolvers, this is an eternity) that go exactly where you want them to go (if the idiot behind the trigger does what he/she is supposed to).
Low recoil, but enough to make it fun (more than you would think for a small caliber in a fairly big gun).
Cheap to shoot (or it was...).
I've given up trying to make it jam. 0.5K rounds of uncleaned filth, purposely limp-wristing, and poor ammo won't do it.
Carrys well.
It's odd looking, but to me odd is good...

Ruger Mk II Target Models, in several iterations. The leading contender is probably a stainless 5 1/2" bull, with custom Zebrawood by Steve Hefner. In centerfires, a Colt 1911 Combat Government Model in .45ACP, made for only a short period of time in the early '80's, as subsequently accurized by Janos Videcki, with a Wichita rear sight added later by Leonard Baitty. A 100 % reliable ragged one holer.
