Bob ***** Bob.... just looked at Ruger catalog photo. Cylinder appears to be taper crimped!----a visual I cannot abide. Worse than the visual, a taper or excessive bevel may direct sideblast in cylinder window back toward shooter’s face. Sometimes the design geeks need to step back, take a deep breath. David Bradshaw

I currently have a 3" Kimber DA/SA back in Troy. Al for repairs, it's a new gun. If it comes back with the same problem, the New Ruger is #1 on the replacement list.

David Bradshaw That seems to be the future for at least the SP line. I sent in a 3" 327 SP for "issues" . When it was returned the cyl. had been replaced with the tapered one. Can't speak to the side blast direction but they do look a little off kilter from the side view.

I'd seen the blued one on a video from the SHOT show and was very excited about it but I chose to go with the 3" Wiley Clapp they came out with. I ordered it right before the whole Covid-19 thing and it took a long time to come in and then the range closed so I haven't even shot it yet. I like it a lot but obviously the shooting is going to tell the tale. I agree on making it a .327, I'd buy it tomorrow!

Wow I like that just the way it is. I agree I’d like it in a .327 more but my 3” .357 SP101 was my first carry gun and there’s no flys on that.
ETA: I especially like the adjustable rear and dovetail front gold bead.

This thread was what finally made me push my work aside for a few minutes and take a break.
I've not gotten this excited about a new gun since 2009, when the 44 Special Flat Tops came out, but this one I'm excited about. It's got everything all the other 3" DAs I've had didn't and it's all here in one gun.
I have to watch for this one. Haven't seen it actually available anywhere yet, not to mention a "street price."

I asked about this gun at two local gun stores. Both said they would put it on the "wish list". I don't know if that is the store's own list or some distributor's. Anyhow one of the owners told me to expect about $650. They are always a little high though. I hope I already have a holster that will fit.

Seems like a "cheap" way to put an ovate barrel on a SA

That is a really nice looking gun. I have one of the original 3 1/4" versions with fixed sights and full lug barrel but this one makes me want to consider buying another.
The half lug just looks "right" on a double action revolver.

I have the 4.2" Stainless Adjustable Sight Model in 327 Federal and 357 Magnum.
Hard to find better factory Trail Guns.

I haven't missed these too, have I?
Not seeing them "in stock" anywhere and haven't found any indication of when they might be available.
I've been a day late and a dollar short too many times and I don't want to miss this one.
