Want to send my Ruger Alaskan out to Bowen or Huntington for some action and sight work, and find someone willing to make a nice set of custom (possibly walnut checkered Roper style) grips.

My Alaskan and M69 have been whispering to me that they would like to have green F/O front sights.

I just want time and ammo to become proficient with my model 57 and the opportunity to use such on big game.
I have simple needs.

I want to have my first custom Ruger Blackhawk built. Nothing too radical.
.45 LC with .45 acp cylinder
*CCH on frame, hammer, trigger
*Bisley hammer (CCH)
*Hammer thinned or shimmed so as not to get scratches when cocked
*Fitted grips
*Trigger job
*Crescent head ejector rod
*Black powder style cylinder bevel
*Set barrel/cylinder gap and end shake to minimum
*Polish/recut forcing cone, barrel crown, open cylinder throats for cast bullets, alignment check, correct timing

I want to buy a bunch of Ronnie Wells parts for all my single action Rugers, and make them all as they should be. The one new gun I have been wanting is a 4" 500 S&W to carry 700 grain full wadcutters at low velocity in for "self defense" lol. I would think it would be like throwing a rock . But I could do a Redhawk in 500 Linebaugh if a cylinder became available . Not sure about the S&W/500 ? But A SRH in 4 inch 500 L shooting 525 gr at 900 fps is a great rock thrower and CCW. if ths helps?
