I have a blue 5.5” 44spl Ruger Flattop Bisley that I would like to lighten up for field carry, and beautify. I would like to customize it like this: -Ronnie Wells Aluminum Bisley Jr grip frame (If it fits my hand the way I hope), Ceracote to match rust blue barrel. -Aluminum Ejector rod Housing Ceracoted like grip frame. -Taller front sight blade. Might get one of Zeus’. -Hawaiian Koa grips (I have a gorgeous block of flamey-curly koa for these) -Scallop rear of frame and loading gate -Channel front of frame -Wide Colt Black Powder era flutes and chamfer -CCH frame and hammer -Rust Blue barrel and cylinder. -Action Job -Barranti Keith No. 5 Holster -The end! Sounds a lot like what I want to do to my .44 spl Vaquero that's currently a .357! With the exception of the Bisley grip frame.

After acquiring my first FA about a month ago in 454, I now really want another in 41. It's a downhill slope I can tell you! I accidentally found my 44 Magnum 83, then needed my 357 Magnum 83, then my shooting partner really didn't care for his 454 with an extra 45 Colt cylinder 83. I'm also on the fence (very narrow fence) on needing a 41 Magnum. I just love those bank vault tight Freedom Arms revolvers! They would be cheap to own (not necessarily buy) if it weren't for all the extra accoutrements "needed" as soon as the revolvers arrive. Good luck on your search and purchase.

I dont have a blued/CCH RBH at all yet (all stainless here). I've been looking at and doing my want list on what I would like done on this revolver. Barrel length would be either 4 5/8" or 5 1/2" and caliber isn't worked out yet. I do want a long cylinder to completely fill out the frame window, so this won't be very cheap and the list of available Smith's is growing short.
As I don't have to be the one to commission this revolver, I may just see what pops up for sale. I passed on a Gallagher 44 Magnum early last year that was about perfect but with a 7 1/2" barrel, shame on me...
The only must haves is really CCH and being really tight. After handling a few customs and Freedom Arms 83's I'm spoiled. The long cylinder is a "really want". I'm not even sticking to the fullsize as I've seen a few Single Six's in 327 with long cylinders that I'd love to have.
One more "probably gonna get" is a Freedom Arms 97 in 327 Federal. There have been a few for sale that I almost jumped on, but I'm kinda between FFL's right now.

Really looking for a octagonal barrel in 500 LB, either chromoly in the white, or blued.

It looks like the final piece of my custom revolver journey will fall in place. An ovate 5 1/2" barrel will be going on an old model 44 Special conversion before it heads to Rob Rowen's for a special set of grips. I guess I can take all the gun searches off my computer and phone now

Continue to accumulate tools sufficient to support DIY custom single action work. This means refraining from buying all that other good stuff as the opportunity presents itself!

The only thing on my radar this year is a Ruger LCR 9mm and possibly a S&W 69. Maybe an AR 10 in 6.5 Creed also.

Don't "want", but *need* cataract surgery. Didn't even know I had cataracts. I still thread my wife's sewing machine and she HAD hers done already. Gunwise, if I have any money left... Maybe a Sig church gun or a 45 Colt Bisley Vaquero in blue I've had my eye on...

I spoke for a Colt NF 2nd gen 357 on the Ruger forum and I'm hoping to get Mr Harton to turn it into a 4" .41spl with a black Powder Chamfer.

In a "what the heck" mode here, so I'll probably just go ahead and jump on 5he FA97 327 Magnum train and get my year started. I'll be asking some questions as this will be my first 327.

Well, Colt messed with me and my priorities...already talked to "The Boss" and a 2020 Python is on the top of the list for this year...figure I'd better get one before Colt files for bankruptcy...again
