Got an email late yesterday evening from Dave Clements. It seems my Custom Single Seven is finished.
Gun is stainless and full Bisley. Barrel is 7.5" and will come with all Dave's Accuracy Features.
Barrel gap is set at .002", which seems to work best for me. Gun will have Fermin's front sight, matte finish and many other features. Dave even machined the ERH for zero pressure on the barrel.
I stuck with the 327 Federal for this gun. The 327 Federal is a hard cartridge to top in this platform.
In the coming weeks, I'll post pictures and range reports...

I am too and thank you. The big bores continue to be exploited while the small bores lag.
It's been fun to stray from the path and work the 32s and smaller.
Dave continues to impress with both his gunsmithing talent and character.

The gun was finished with a combination of bead blast and polished. Has the Cresent ER and is set up for cast bullets.
Dave done his usual excellent work. Range report to follow...

Also doing one with different barrel dimensions for available jacketed bullets. Hopefully, all my madness will eventually make some sense...
This one has the bore lapped and polished nice and shiney. Ditto on the forcing cone and cylinder throats.

This thing looks great, the .327 in this barrel length should run some outstanding velocity numbers.

that looks really nice i wish they would remake the blackhawk in some long barrel lengths like 7 1/2 and 10 1/2.

Thanks for the positive comments. Gave the gun some time at the bench this morning.
3/4" was about the average group with proper sized cast bullets. Some heavy .314" bullets made one ragged hole nickel sized groups.
Not bad for a cylinder with seven holes in it.
