I like mine a lot! It is a neat cartridge in a shoulder fired gun. Didn't realize there were only 100 made. I've only seen two in the flesh though. Almost bought the first many years ago at a Gander Mountain store. Bought the second at Collector's in Houston. Tim

I thought about rebarreling one of my Browning 92s to 480 but they are getting hard to come by.

I've been wanting one as well... wondering why they haven't released a 2nd run, or someone else picked up the ball... I have a rifle / carbine length barrel blank in my stock

I'be been wanting one as well... wondering why they haven't released a 2nd run, or someone else picked up the ball... I have a rifle / carbine length barrel blank in my stock I've wondered the same thing. Why haven't they just made another limited run of all variations to the tune of like 250-ish units each and sold them in both the 480 and 454. I bet they would sell like hot cakes and give them some nice rainy day money. If converting an existing lever action wasn't so expensive, I would think about going that route. There was someone on the forum that was working on converting a lever into a 480 a documenting it, I'll have to see if I can dig up the thread.

I was thinking of bidding on that one but I'm going to pass. I have a feeling it's gonna go high.
There is a NIB 454 on GB too

I wasn't in the race, but ended at $1,700. Wow.

Jack Huntington is building me a 480 Ruger and a 500 JRH on marlin 1894s. I bid on that puma to $800 and stopped.

Don’t know what a Huntington 480 lever gun would cost but a Puma is no match for the quality and style
