Would love to hear more about your testing of the new AA11FS powder, Paul. Down to my last keg of W296. Have H108 and AA9, too, though.

Pauls info on the Model 69 is to good not to give it a bump. Been thinking about getting one of these. Have a 4" and love it.

I currently own a 2.75" and have owned a 4.25". Both shot a 240gr SWC over 7.5gr of Unique very well. Plenty of power and accuracy. I have also had good success with the now discontinued Speer Gold Dot short barrel 44 mag load. Luckily I was able to put my hands on a handful of boxes when they quit making them.

WOW, somehow I Spaced this thread. My Model 69 2.75" is everything the 696 couldn't be. Easy packing and strong and accurate, this is a great take it with me gun.

WOW, somehow I Spaced this thread. My Model 69 2.75" is everything the 696 couldn't be. Easy packing and strong and accurate, this is a great take it with me gun. What grips are those? They complement the guns very nicely.

The grips are VZs, I have them on all my S&Ws from J to N. Don't own any X or I frame Smiths.
