Can we start a thread where we can discuss the 44 Terminator? Load data and results? I've got 190 of the plain base boolits cast and powder coated. Ordering my sizing die tonight or tomorrow and also gonna order some gas checks for the other mold. I'd love to see the results yall are getting and the loads yall are using.

Nice idea, I've been looking at mine for over a month now and haven't cast with it yet. Will try to this week if all goes well.

Just got my mold Friday finally and didn't have time to give it a test drive just yet but yea this is an excellent idea to have a discussion place for this mold.

I ordered sizing die and gas checks last night. Hope to get some loaded up soon. Gonna run some mag loads with Unique outta my magnum.
I also talked to Aggie01 yesterday about hopefully getting one of his sight bases. If he has one, I think I'm gonna add it to my Flat top 44 special. The factory sight is GROSSLY undersized!

Warmed up my 4 cav Terminator yesterday for the first time, spent about 4 hrs in the shop. I used a 4 cav LEE before, but never anything like this, first time casting with brass. We went through the pins on the kitchen table and assembled it with 4 different profiles, fit it up on the large LEE handles and checked function, all was good. After warm up it took a while to dial in a system as I was new to hollow point moulds as well, had to adjust the sprue plate screw after it was to temp. Once things started to roll, it didnt seem to take long to produce about 500 bullets, nice bullets, real nice bullets. This is top quality equipment, worth every cent I payed, glad I got in on this.
251.5g - solid nose 247g - dimple point 243g - penta point 253g - large cav hollow point
We didn't get to the small hollow point in this session. This was straight Wheel Weights Hopefully next sunday the boys and I can reconfigure the pins and do another run.

I think you might have meant to say the large HP was 235 instead of 253 maybe??

Took some loads out today to try out. Test gun was the new 5" blued GP100. I'm a poor shot and the gun did really well so I bet in capable hands, this ammo would do marvelous. My loads were 7.5 grains of Unique and bullets cast with the large hollow point pin and weighing in around 235 grains. I then powder coated and sized to 0.430". Test gun First 5 shots of this ammo after sighting in with a 240 gr SWC. This photo shows about what my sight picture looks like at 20 yards so it is shooting to the front sight. That big ol fiber optic sight is not my first choice.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, But I sure like the results so far. Have you thought about trying to stretch the legs on that load, or Pistol? Say 50yds? You might try putting a small piece of white, or black, electrical tape over the front sight. Trim it down with a razor knife and try for a different sight picture.
delete : question I see you are shooting a 44 SPL Congratulations to Bob, for an accurate bullet.

Nice shootin, Joe... Love your new GP-44, looks good and looks like it's a shooter to. Joe, does the F-sight sit proud on the 5" model, same as the 3" model??? I have the 3" and really like it. I wouldn't mind having the 5"r too Thanks BigBore44

That is my intent. This was the initial, "Am I going to get along with this gun?" range trip. I don't have a dog in this hunt, But I sure like the results so far. There is a 0.008" gap between the barrel and front sight. Thanks for pointing that out... Lol Nice shootin, Joe... Love your new GP-44, looks good and looks like it's a shooter to.
