Very nice pistol. I better be careful about jumping into this thread too much or it might give me too many ideas. A packin' pistol on a Bisquero just gets me too excited.

I just finished loading the first 25 rounds and was very happy that all chambered easily! I'll get to pop a few rounds on steel tomorrow night.

Trail Boss in a 500 might be the most fun I've had with a SA revolver. We shot the 500 after setting up for Steel Challenge and it was a blast.

Sounds like a blast. I really like my 480s with 400 grain slugs at about 900 fps. The fun dissipates above 1150 fps...

I decided to load a few more cases with Trail Boss for my friends who want to shoot it. The rest are getting a variety of charges with Longshot. If those aren't too bad I'm inclined to try 4227 next.

I plan on shooting a lot more midrange loads than anything else. Longshot over a 335 to 440 gr bullet should be about right.
I've shot max loads in 454 and 480 and I'm only good for four or five cylinders before it starts to wear me down.

My 475lL the faster it goes the more fun it is but at about 1250 the fun comes so fast is starts to hurt!

Got a chance to chrono some loads this morning. All are cut down Starline 500 S&W cases with CCI 350 primers. The Trail Boss load is too much fun and seems pretty accurate as far out as I have tried. I think I'll be keeping 50 of those loaded up at all times for plinking. For something a little more peppy Hodgdon lists data for Longshot up to 19.0 gr with a 350 gr XTP. I'm not sure how fast these 335 gr Rainiers will like to be pushed but I might try moving up to 19.0 gr and see how they do. Once I get a good feel for the gun I'll give 4227 or 296 a try. I'm really enjoying it so far and don't imagine that will change!
330 gr Badman Cast - 9.0 gr Trail Boss - 799 +/- 22 fps
335 gr Rainier Plated HP - 16.0 gr Longshot - 1161 +/- 34 fps 335 gr Rainier Plated HP - 16.5 gr Longshot - 1178 +/- 18 fps 335 gr Rainier Plated HP - 17.0 gr Longshot - 1195 +/- 20 fps 335 gr Rainier Plated HP - 17.5 gr Longshot - 1227 +/- 23 fps

I think that beauty deserves to go hunting or at least packed into the tall and uncut for a few days. Nice!
