Thank you for the kind words gentlemen! After handling it for a good while the fit and finish is outstanding. Mechanical lockup and action are superb. I am incredibly pleased with Mr. Clement's work.

That is friggin fandamtastic!! Good on you! Other than pride in ownership and ringing steel what are your plan for this revolver?

Looks great! Vaqueros just look so good with a big cylinder and dovetail front sight.
Is the front sight smooth or serrated? The shape of it is very classy.

Very nice gun...
Don't have one of the 500 Shorts but do have a 4" S&W. Have settled on 350 grain bullets as all I'll ever need. Berry's plated, Speer SP, Hornady XTP, Sierra HP and a NOE 350 mold.
18.0 grains of Unique runs them 1180 fps and is very easy too shoot.
20.0 runs 1250 and again not unpleasant.
43.0 grains of H110 produces a fireball bright enough to be seen in the daylight but only 30 fps faster than the 20.0 grains of Unique load. I use them instead in a 20" TC Contender Carbine.
Have a great time with the new beautiful gun...Bob

The ONLY thing I would like to see changed on that fine piece is it's home address!😁

To answer a few questions: It was a large frame Vaquero for the donor, I think you can fit a few .50s in the midframe but at much lower pressure. The front sight is not serrated but appears to have been bead blasted before bluing so it has a very matte appearance which I like thus far. As for intentions, I don't hunt or live anywhere that warrants a .50 on your hip so it will be for ringing steel and packing with lighter loads on occasion. I'd bet a 440 gr slug at 850 or so fps will wreak havoc on anything I'm likely to encounter in my life. I plan to find a good bullet and powder combination and shoot a bunch of them.

I love it! That is a real beauty!...........I think you should get it over with and jump in head first, 440gr bullets loaded with H-110/296!
