Got a couple nice slabs of sheephorn that I am fitting to my Vaquero. After all of the sanding and polishing, what do I treat them with to really bring out the color and protect them?

Roy uses bowling alley wax Instead of or in addition to using rouge?

For the finish, the rouge is abrasive (I'm pretty sure)

When I asked Rob Rowen about the "finish" on the grips he made for me here was his response... "There is no finish on the horn! It is sanded really fine , buffed and then waxed."
