Yikes ! I cannot say 500L , H110, and 525gr bullet in the same sentence without reaching for the Motrin. You been watching Jurrassic Park re-runs ? LOL, luck.

Lee worked up H110 loads with a 525, so let's hope he chimes in here.

Might be a day or three. He's gone off the reservation, off line for the Holiday.

I didn't find any data for your desired combination. I don't anticipate using H110 in the 500 Linebaugh either. Personally I think there are better powders. Would suggest Accurate's website for this bullet. They have combinations for this bullet with several powders. Some with a faster burn rate and some with a slower burn rate than H110. I personally use 4227 with the 515 - 525 weight bullets in my 500 Linebaugh revolver.

In the "Powders for the .475" thread, Odin has what looks to be some advice for searching out info. I seldom have any luck with forums search functions either.

You might send a pm to wildwillalaska. I believe he still follows this forum. He just doesn't post much. I remember some comments he made about some guys were being little over exuberant in the use of W296 in their 500 Linebaughs. Then again I maybe all wet.

Is not load data for H110 essentially 95-100% load density? If I recall correctly, I believe Paden stated that you can take how much space is left once the bullet is seated and fill it with H110. That stuff works best around 100% load density.

I'm casting from a 525 gr LBT mould. With my allow the boolits lubed and checked are 540gr. I'm loading them over 23gr LilGun for 1150fps in my 5.5 500L. Here's a thread with info and pics. singleactions.proboards.com/thread/16900/500-linebaughHere is some 525gr info from some threads around here including Lee's 525 data. As usual, use caution, cross reference, double check, start low, there might be some typo's. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 21.5grains of 5744 will get you right around 900fps Here are some others. 5.5" barrel, CCI 350's 525gr H110, 25.5 = 1,080 IMR 4227, 27.0 = 1,017 HS-6, 15.5 = 925 2400, 20.0 = 982 Blue Dot, 16.0 = 964 AA 1680, 26.5 = 1,033 -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time" warhawk...500 Linebaugh, 525s 10.5 grn unique (fun) 440s 14 to 16 grn HS 6....440s an Trail Boss 10 grns (fun) all with win LP primers...525s with 26.5 4227 are stout but not bad...Taffin info is very helpful... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
